    Industry representatives want legislation requiring California to draft an energy plan for 2030 and 2050 that promotes economic growth, amid growing industry concerns about the future economic impacts of California's expanding regulatory programs to battle climate change by reducing greenhouse gases (GHGs).

    North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory signed a letter to the President asking him to quash new Environmental Protection Agency carbon rules that would require large power producers to reduce carbon emissions from their smokestacks.

  • In Austin, Calif. lawmaker pushes back on Tesla, business recruiting, Austin American-Statesman (June 30, 2014)
    Governor Rick Perry of Texas visited California on a “job-poaching trip” and made reference to the war between California and Texas to win the Tesla proposed “gigafactory” and its 6,500 jobs saying that the metallic gray Tesla that the Governor was driving would look better if it had a “Made in Texas” bumper sticker on it, as he sported sun shades and a “what-me-worry attitude”.
