• Georgia withdraws proposed rule on qualified research expenses tax credits, TaxAnalysts (May 7, 2013)**
  The Georgia Department of Revenue has withdrawn proposed amendments to a rule on the qualified research expenses tax credit which would have clarified how the credit would be applied against withholding tax payments.
• Georgia Governor vetoes bill intended to exempt inputs from sales tax, TaxAnalysts (May 7, 2013)**
  Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal (R) has vetoed HB 193, which would have restored state sales and use tax exemptions for inputs, based on a 2010 special council recommendation that the Legislature allow the exemptions to expire so that it can determine whether they are justified.
